Mahalakshmi Ladies drama troupe present Bombay Gnanam in their latest play ‘Sasvatham’ on August 11 at 6.45 p.m. at Narada Gana Sabha. The story, dialogue and direction are by Bombay Gnanam. She has chosen to focus on women’s issues in this play.
11 year old V. Varsha, a class VII student of Hindu Senior, Indira Nagar will present a carnatic vocal at Nageswara Rao Park, Luz on August 7 at 6.30 a.m. Varsha will be accompanied on the mridangam by Melattur Lakshmi Narasimhan and on the violin by Y. P. Ganesh.
This is part of the ‘mikeless’ Sunday kutcheri in the Park organised by Sundaram Finance.
Ganamukundhapriya has arranged Sri Krishna Layanthi festival of Bharathanatyam and Sasthriya sanagreetham. There will four days of Bharathanatyam from August 11 to 13 and on August 21 at P. S. School hall, Mylapore.
Sasthriya Sangeetham will be held from August 14 to 24 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

The DVD includes ‘aapasthamba sutra’ and ‘bodhayana sutra sandhyavandanam’.
A discussion on the ‘Importance of Sandhyavandam and the role of women’ will be rendered by Rajagopala Ganapadigal, H. Ramanathan, Prema Krishnamurthy and Prakash Kaushik.
