Classes: spoken English, kirthanas, cricket

Free spoken English and computer classes for first year engineering students is organised by Sivaranga Charities. Classes will be held on all Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Classes will be held at Raja Muthiah Higher Sec. School, R. A. Puram. Free computer basic classes will be conducted from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. on all days. This will be held at 54, Salai Street, Mandavelli  (Opp. Karnataka Bank). Prior registration is required. Shree Prakash, Cultural Heritage research Centre is organising a three-month course in saint Thyagaraja kirthanas. The course will start from August 6. Classes will be held once a week on Saturday between 4.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.
About 10 kirthanas will be taught. This is open to students of 8 years and above.

The language school of Indo -Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry is starting a fresher program in Japanese language – spoken and written. Classes will be held on Saturdays and Sundays at the Chambers premises. Students attending the class will be sent for Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N – 5 in July 2012.
