Thomas Natarajan, aged 80 passed away on January 4. The cremation took place at Quibble Island, Santhome.
He was on the staff of Standard Chartered Bank, Parrys, main branch. He worked as special assistant in various departments for 40 years and retired from service in 1991.
He was an active member of the All India Bank Employee’s union (AIBEA) . He served as a vice president of Standard Chartered Bank union.
Natarajan was an active member of the DMK party and served as treasurer for division 147 in Mylapore area since 1965.
He was also a member of the CSI St. Thomas Tamil Church, San Thome.
Natarajan was born and brought up, got married and lived in Santhome, Mylapore since 1931 with his wife Regina Thomas who passed away in August last year.
