The vigraham of Perumal at the Sri Vedantha Desikar Devasthanam, Mylapore was a-shimmer with a ratna angi that adorned Him entirely on Thursday evening.
The ratna angi is a head-to-toe covering made up of red stones (kempu) embedded in gold and has been donated by a devotee
The fitting of the ratna angi is time consuming and so it was fitted earlier.
H H Sri Srirangam Srimath Andavan Swamigal performed the dedication as he symbolically placed the kreedam on the glittering deity.
