If you are passionate about Western classical music, you may want to attend a concert by Handel Manuel Chorus to be held at the San Thome Cathedral campus on Saturday.
This is an open-air concert which is open to all and starts at 7 p.m. and will be on for about 80 minutes.
The choir of 35 members will sing sacred hymns on the evolution of church music under the theme ‘From Kyire to Calypso’.
The choir is conducted by Sharada Schaffter and has Damayanthi Santwan on the piano. The repertoire includes Gregorian chants and western classical songs.
This is the first time that a multi-denomination group is having its performance at this cathedral campus.
