Manohar Devadoss, an artist who lives in San Thome has never let anything get him down. His tenacity and commitment to drawing and painting has resulted in his making the most detailed pen sketches of temples in Chennai and the city that he hails from-Madurai.
He was supported by his late wife Mahema, who had to reconcile to being a paraplegic because of a highway car accident. The duo raised monies through sale of products that carried the art and donated them to Sankara Nethralaya and Aravind Eye Hospital.
Manohar is now going to showcase his works in water colours.
The exhibition is sponsored by Prakriti Foundtion and is on at Lakshana Art Gallery, Judge Jambulingam Street, Mylapore. It will be inaugurated on Monday, October 18 at 7 p.m. and is on till October 23 at this gallery.
