All that is colourful and fine examples of Rajasthani workmanship, Orissa and Kerala are being showcased at the Rajasthan Craft Fair at C P Art Centre and goes on till May 30.
Orissa saris with Sambalpuri Ikkat work and Bomka work, Calcutta saris with Kantha and appliqué work, dress materials, silver jewellery and the famed lac bangles of Rajasthan are some of the pieces that on display.
Colourful thorans for the doorway and brightly coloured embroidered bags are the backdrop for the picture. A model of a house is crafted to perfection in wood by the artisan from Kerala.
A typical wedding scene from Rajasthan is up. A wall hanging done in the Rajastani style shows the newly weds being carried in a pallakku.
